The coming months will transform the industry Indian pharmaceutical business with more than those predicted Shahani.

When India introduced product patent regime in 2005, the Indian pharmaceutical companies had to swallow the bitter pill that prevent them from carrying out generic versions of patented drugs. The drug discovery process, and the drug development process involving billions of dollars and prevented Indian companies to exercise such processes in a highly competitive market global generic. There are many big names in the Indian pharmaceutical industry including Aurobindo Pharma, Cipla and Orchid Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals have been the subject of business multinational for a while. Higher scores have been deferred by these companies to be acquired so far.

Malvinder Mohan Singh, CEO and MD of Ranbaxy is believed business model that it shares with Daiichi Sankyo would be replicated by many other companies, large and small industry. CEO & MD of Glen Saldanha of Glenmark deal that especially small players would be forced out of business, and only the fundamentally strong companies might be able to stay in the generic market in the future.

Though many industrialists felt anguish over the sale of Ranbaxy, however, added, earning good profits in the process should be considered that other aspects in a highly competitive pharmacy business. Many big global drug without generic drugs in its portfolio and various problems encountered by Indian pharmaceutical companies combined will create a perfect backdrop to redefine the 50 billion U.S. dollars Indian pharmaceutical business in the near future.
